The royals are well known for their strict rules and lack of privacy, especially when it comes to out of the blue comments on social media. Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, famously commented on the death of her sons’ friend in the exact same way on Twitter. The comment attracted a lot of media attention, and Prince William and Prince Harry reportedly swore never to repeat it.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the newest Duke and Duchess of Sussex, recently announced that they are expecting their first child. The royal couple said they are delighted with the news and that they are expecting a baby boy. The couple met in October 2016 at a party in London’s Soho district. Since then, the two have been secretly engaged, and we now all know that Harry is ready to become an official father.
Royal family watchers who had hoped that Princes William and Harry could settle their differences and bridge the rift that has recently developed between them have been disappointed. The princes could not but behave among themselves, and were indifferent to each other. While Prince William kept his cool and did what was expected of him on what would be an emotional occasion for both brothers, Prince Harry continued to laugh, talk and joke.
Harry did not linger to talk to his brother William, but greeted his aunts and uncles who were present. As for Prince William, he made no attempt to engage Harry in conversation. For him, the event was simply a day to remember his beloved mother and honor the deeds she accomplished during her lifetime.
The brothers did not make separate speeches during the event, as had been previously reported, but issued a joint statement commemorating the event. The joint statement was seen as an attempt to avert media reports of a new conflict between the two sides.

The meeting between Princes William and Harry at Kensington Palace for the unveiling of their mother’s statue was the second since Harry and his wife Meghan stepped down from the ranks of the top royal family in 2023.
At Prince Philip’s funeral, the two once close brothers were seen chatting animatedly as they left the funeral home, although William had previously expressed a desire not to walk alongside Harry. But at their recent reunion, a few months later, they barely spoke to each other and spent only 20 minutes in the same room after the ceremony. Harry arrived 15 minutes before the ceremony began and spent most of the time with his aunts and uncles.
Sources close to the brothers said Harry is almost beyond belief now.
Their relationship began to take a new turn when Prince William confronted Harry over complaints from staff about Meghan Markle’s bullying. Harry, however, burst out, determined to protect his wife. He and Meghan then gave an interview to Oprah, in which they accused the royal family of racism and overlooked Meghan’s suicidal thoughts.

But Harry’s continued sharing of private family conversations with CBS’s Gail King salted the wound, causing the royals to refuse to spend one-on-one time with Harry because they couldn’t trust him.
Can’t Prince William be alone with his brother?
Although William and Harry met this week to honor his mother’s legacy, Harry is keeping a low profile, a source told the Mirror.
They performed, did what they had to do to make the day run smoothly and said goodbye, the source added.
