The battery cannot be inserted into the camera.
Make sure the correct battery is being used. For G1 cameras, the battery model is GB-20. For the E850, the battery model is GB-40. Also, please make sure the metal contacts on the battery are aligned and touching the inside contacts of the camera when inserted.
My fully charged batteries are only registering at 1/3 power by the camera's battery indicator meter.
There is a condition affecting some A735 & A835 cameras whereby the camera may inaccurately display the battery charge level when the unit is turned on. Please note, this only affects the battery indicator meter and does not affect the performance of your camera. This situation can be corrected by going to our firmware update page and installing the latest firmware on your camera.
What types of batteries can I use in my G1 digital camera?
The G1 works on a Li-ion battery that is supplied with the camera. The battery model is "GB-20" for G1 camera. No other battery will work with this camera.
Will my pictures be lost if the camera battery is dead?
No, if the battery is down, the user will not lose the pictures.
How can I prolong the life of the battery in my G1 digital camera?
Follow these guidelines to prolong battery life:
1. Minimize the use of the camera preview/review feature.
2. Make sure the battery contacts are free of dirt. Whenever removing and re-installing batteries, wipe the contacts with a clean, dry cloth before reloading the batteries.
3. When using your camera in cold weather (temperatures below 41Â° F (5Â° C), carry spare batteries and keep them warm. Battery performance is reduced in colder temperatures. If your cold batteries don't work, however, don't discard them. They may be usable once they return to room temperature.
4. Don't allow batteries to touch metal objects, including coins. Otherwise, they may short-circuit, discharge energy, become hot, or leak.
Will my pictures be lost if the camera battery is dead?
No, your pictures will not be deleted if your camera fails or is turned off. The pictures are stored in flash memory which is not erased when the camera is turned off.
My battery goes fairly quickly and I don’t know where to get another battery.

Turn the camera so that the lens is pointing up. Then slide the battery tab, and insert the battery with the GE logo facing upwards.
