GARDENA, Calif., April 22, 2011 – General Imaging (GIC), the exclusive worldwide licensee of GE Digital Cameras, today announced the much anticipated launch of its GE Power Pro PJ1 camera. The latest model makes an exclusive debut on multichannel retailer HSN, April 24, 2011 at 3 p.m. (EDT) as part of HSN’s first-ever 48-hour Innovation Weekend Event, sponsored by Microsoft.
Demonstrating GIC’s advanced technological capabilities, this addition to the GE Power Pro series features PICO Projection technology, enabling users to project their pictures and videos onto any flat surface at just the touch of a button. The high performance point and shoot camera is equipped with 720p HD movie recording capabilities, 7X optical zoom, 14 megapixel resolution and optical image stabilization.

The feature-packed GE PJ1 includes:
- PICO Projection – With its built-in PICO projector, you can share photos and videos instantly without crowding around the camera’s LCD screen or connecting to a TV or computer. Extremely intuitive and easy-to-use, you only need to touch one button to project on virtually any flat surface.
- Powerful Camera & Features – The GE PJ1 features 14.1 megapixels and a stellar 7X wide optical zoom allowing you to take crisp, clear pictures and videos. Optical Image Stabilization compensates for unwanted camera movement, while Face Detection technology optimizes and provides the best possible shots of subjects. In addition, High Dynamic Range automatically adjusts the camera’s exposure to provide the best picture detail possible.
- HD Recording and Viewing – The diverse GE PJ1 captures all of your video in High Definition 720p resolution.
- Large LCD Monitor – The large 3.0-inch LCD monitor features Automatic Brightness Adjustment, ensuring you can view maximum details on the screen, whether indoors, in bright sunlight or at night.
The GE PJ1 features a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery and PictBridge software, allowing for easy printing. 18MB of internal memory and up to 16GB of additional memory via a SD/SDHC memory card is fully supported.
The GE PJ1 is available in graphite gray and includes a camera stand/dock and remote control for added flexibility and camera control while viewing photos and videos.
